A Yoga class for Mums in Folkestone who are beyond the early Postnatal stage.
Mothers of all ages welcome.
This class is heading to Sunny Sands Beach this Summer
(followed by an optional Sea Swim).
Please check my instagram each week as this will be weather dependent. This will be drop-ins only, but booking is required.
This Yoga class is for anyone who identifies as a Mother but who is beyond the early Postnatal stage. It is a child-free, Hatha-flow style class with a deep understanding of the postpartum body (however far down the line), as well as the mental and emotional load of a Mother.
This is not a Mum and Baby Yoga class, this is not a Postnatal Yoga class. This is like a regular Yoga class BUT it's specifically designed with Mothers in mind because our minds and bodies are different once we're a mother! Our energy levels are different and our need for space is different.
It is suitable for all levels of experience. However if you are newly postnatal, please check out my Postnatal Yoga Classes.
UPCOMING Term Dates:
This class is moving to Sunny Sands Beach this Summer and will be running ad hoc, depending on the weather/tides. It will be drop-in only. Booking is required. Book here.
I offer these classes in termly blocks. By committing to a term:
You’ll give yourself the opportunity to build up your strength & have regular periods of vital rest each week.
You’ll get to learn & practice the varying tools that will support you daily in motherhood.
You’ll experience a positive impact on your physical & mental wellbeing when you attend consistently.
You’ll get to know the other Mums to be & build up a community of women around you.
You’ll benefit from a discounted rate by booking the full term.
If you are unable to make the full term, you can also purchase single classes. There are a limited number of drop-in places each week. A Drop-in class is £14. Booking required.
YOGA & MOTHERHOOD
Motherhood is the time in your life when you are likely the most depleted, tired and detached from yourself. You have gone through great physical changes, emotional oscillation, and a complete identity shift, perhaps several times.
This is why Yoga is a powerful companion for Mothers. It teaches awareness and acceptance and allows you to reconnect to your inner wisdom and innate power.
By connecting movement and breath together Yoga is a powerful tool for healing, both physically and emotionally. It helps to regulate your nervous system and bring you back to a place of patience and calm.
It helps you recognise the tension you are holding in your body and release that tension and it helps you drop out of your over-thinking mind and come back into leading with your body, who - if you learn how to listen, speaks very loudly.
This class is for:
The Mum who needs time to breathe.
The Mum who wants to find strength in her body again.
The Mum who still needs to work on her core.
The Mum who wants to relax.
The Mum who needs time for herself.
The Mum who has the best intentions but never gets round to Yoga at home.
The Mum who needs some work/family/ life balance.
The Mum whose child sleeps without you or you're able to get them down before 8pm.
i couldn’t do motherhood without yoga!
Not only has it helped me rebuild my physical strength and resilience but it helps me come back to the present moment whenever things get too stressful or overwhelming and it helps me stay connected to myself when sometimes I get lost in being ‘mum’ or full of anxiety.
My Yoga class is not about bending into uncomfortable positions, but releasing the physical and emotional tension that comes with being a human and a mother, and refuelling your soul so you have the capacity to be the mother your child needs.

About ME. . .
I’m a mum. A student of Yoga. A Yoga teacher. A pre and postnatal Yoga specialist. I trained for my 200hr Yoga TTC in India and I use the practices and principles of Yoga every single day and with all the Mothers I work with and support in my 1:1 mentoring programme and group classes. Sometimes that means getting on my mat for 20 minutes (if I’m lucky) and sometimes that means practicing a pranayama (breathing exercise) at the traffic lights when my patience is being tested and I’ve had broken sleep…again. The tools of Yoga have literally saved me, many times over and I simply couldn’t survive motherhood without it. I’m passionate about sharing Yoga with all mothers to help you find the tools you need to make your motherhood journey more easeful. x
Can I just drop in?
I advise that you book the full term to ensure you get all the benefits of the class, however if maximum capacity is not reached, it is also possible to book a single class for £15, subject to availability.
What if the class needs to be cancelled due to COVID-19?
If the government declares public classes are prohibited or we return to another lockdown, I will either continue to offer my classes online via Zoom or cancel the classes. If this doesn’t work for you, you can choose to carry classes over to a future block or receive a refund for any unattended classes.
If you have a new baby or you are still in your first Postnatal year, you may benefit more from this class. I do not recommend attending Yoga For Mums until you are at least 6 months postpartum. There is no upper age limit to this class.
If you’d like to have a chat with me before booking, please email me & we can arrange a time to talk.
